Ministry Movement

Whats up fam,

I just wanted to share the great things God has been doing with this ministry. Up until now the United In Christ Mixtape Vol. I has been reaching out to so many and there has been great reviews that came from it, great feedback from listeners who love the music and the message. Also, around 26 different DJ's have been spinning the mixtape around their local areas around the country. I recently was on Blog Talk Radio and had an interview on the music and ministry, you can check it out on the site on the Home page where it says Radio Shows. It was a great time of exchange and really diving into what this ministry is about, so take some time and listen when you get a chance.

I've also been invited to share song and word at Campus Crusade for Christ at UMBC on April. 9, 2009 and have been reaching out to campus ministries at both UMBC and UMCP. Also, on JT's Indie Music Podcast, I had the opportunity to share song on his podcast show.

It has been 6 weeks since the ministry has really started and already the amount of reaching has been increasing week by week. In the process, I have performed at 2 churches, NCFC VA and NCFC MD and will be reaching out many other churches once the album is complete. I have been in contact with a good number of radio shows who are waiting for the promo's for the album and once that is finished, the ministry will be reaching to even more areas.

I wanted to keep you updated with all of this because its amazing how God introduces people into your life for His purpose. All of this, its not of my own doing, but it is all guided by our Father who has His plan for this ministry. On top of all of this, the daily online reach out to youth and encouragement and trying to answer as many questions as possible, also receiving prayer requests from those who are struggling has been a daily thing in the ministry which is the roots of this ministry. What I've come to really notice is, when I first started out, I really was focused on making the music, but as time progressed, the focus has been less on the music and more on the ministry, reaching out and letting others know the true wonders of our Father, the glory of His name, and how much He truly loves us. Music is just a tool, the real meat is the message and testimony that touches hearts, that inspires, that awakens and revives! It is so imparitive that the youth and young adults know the true greatness of our Father and understand the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that He was crucified so that we could share in His kingdom in Heaven, how awesome is that! Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself so that we could join Him and share in His kingdom, man, is there a greater friend?

I've also been joining in ministry with The Youth United who do a teleconference every Tuesday, reaching out to help youth and any others in their struggles and praying for them. This ministry has been such a blessing to youth and I ask that you will keep The Youth United in your prayers that God will continue to bless their ministry and use them to strike conviction in the hearts of youth. I've recently joined with The Global Light Quest Foundation, this organization reaches out to those who live in REAL poverty, who are less fortunate than we are. I ask that you will keep this Global Light Quest Foundation in your prayers that God will continue to provide and bless this ministry and use them to serve others the way Jesus Christ came and served us. Both of these ministries can be found on my site on the Ministries tab, CHECK THEM OUT!!!!!!

Lastly, I want to thank all the supporters, DJ's, organizations, fans, brothers, sisters, family, radio stations, podcasters, magazines, and everyone else for your prayers for this ministry, CL Ministries and I will ask you to continue to pray that God will use this ministry to AWAKEN and REVIVIE the hearts of youth and young adults and also will continue to teach, discipline, and humble me in going forward in the new year with the ministry!

Thank you and God bless

In Christ,

Album Update

Whats good fam, just wanted to post an update on the album, currently it is in the mix process and the promos will be done soon. I'm really liking the way things are turning out and also just the amount of support and encouragement I'm recieveing from you all! I have gotten so many responses on the website, Facebook, MySpace, Shoutlife, and its just been a blessing to serve His purpose in this ministry.

Right now, I am booking events and shows to evangelize the word and spread the gospel. I have met so many people in this short period of time. God really does bring people into our lives to serve His purpose. Its amazing to have met all the people who have just played a huge role in the upbringing of this ministry. It's only been a short while, but God has really begun to sow His seed into this ministry and I know that it will begin to spread like the yeast and mustard seed.

To those who continue to support me, thank you for the love. We are all one body of Christ and I will do as much as possible not jsut with this ministry but as much as I can as a person to play my part in this body of Christ. Always remember, I am here for you as well and if there is anything that I can help you with, whether its music, opinion, advice, encouragement, or even a prayer, please don't ever hesitate to ask. Just as Jesus served while He was here, I only wish to serve others and be more like Him each and everyday.

God bless ya'll

In Christ,

Wait On The Lord

Psalms 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

I'm reading the story of Mary Rowlandson who was captures by Indians, this was written between 1675-1699. She shares her story of how her family was murdered right in front of her, her child died in her arms, one was missing, another was being held at another camp, her husband threatened to be killed, her house and everything that she had burned and destroyed. I'm not dont reading the story yet, but she shares this verse from Psalms 27 verse 14 and it is so amazing to see that even through her suffering, I mean real suffering, something that most of us will never ever go through because times back then are so different than today, that even through her suffering, she was still praising God and waiting for Him to do His work.
Her writings became a part of history, God had great things in store for her, greater than she could ever had imagined at the time.

This just makes me think in this world today where everyone is living at such a fast pace, do we take time to awit on the Lord? We tend to anticipate and take action to get where we want to get, rather than leaving it up to our Father to do His works within us. We rush into things, we want things to happen now, we pray expecting that our Father will provide for us, but when we don't recieve things at certain times, we get discouraged. Don't you know His time is perfect? This story is such a great example of enduring hardship and persevering, how much are you enduring? We are so quick to quit when things don't go the right way, but don't you know that God has everything planned out to perfection, why do we not entrust Him and try and take matters into our own hands then? Is your trust in our Father lacking?

I remember, before God had changed me, I used to run a 1000 mph, not literally lol, trying to achieve so many things without taking the time for preparation and enduring, I just wanted to be this and be that and wanted it now, without taking the time to know how can I get there. God has taught me to just trust Him, leave it in His hands, but stay diligent and seeking Him daily so that He would teach and discipline me, that I would be molded by His mighty hands.

I share this with you because in this world today, it's so easy to forget that everything is in His control because we are so busy trying to control everything around us, trying to control our lives. If we entrust Him, He will provide us with everything we need whether its finances, comfort, peace, love, joy, etc, whatever it may be, He will give it to you, but just wait, be patient upon the Lord and He will answer in good time, for His time is perfect. Don't be anxious, but be humbled, I love this passage

Matthew 23:12
"For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."

Humble yourselves and wait upon the Lord and you will be exalted!

New Year Resolution

Ephesians 2:8

8. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

I love this verse because it reminds me how much God loves me. It is not what I do that recieves His grace, it is only a gift from Him because of my faith in Jesus Christ. There is nothing you and I can do to recieve this grace, it is only given as a gift from our Father since He chooses us, how great is that, to recieve this gift of grace!

My New Year resolution is simply to live for God's will and be loved by Him. I was thinking of certain accomplishments and achievements, but the more I think about it, I'm like, why? Why do I want to achieve that, what will it do for me?Maybe a higher pay, maybe a better lifestyle, maybe a better person? Isn't all this achievable through God?

God finds favor in those who follow His will, if I follow and live for Him, won't I recieve all of these things?

It says in Matthew 6:26

26. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Don't you know God wants to provide for you and I? However, we tend to look to ourselves for achievements and advancement. Selfish ambition? Greed?

My resolution is to live in Him and be loved by Him because anything that I want to achieve is of my own, but if I work for my Father and achieve the great things He wants me to achieve, not only will my reward here on earth be great, but my reward in Heaven will be even greater!
Remember, this world is temporary, everything comes and goes, EVERYTHING, but God is forever, so I yearn for that eternal life with Him!
